He Lives and The Future is Bright

Hello!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! It’s hard to believe that today is my last p-day on the mission, soon I’ll be back in Utah with all the Christmas lights and hot chocolate and snow.

On my missionary planner, on the back cover, Sister Sam put a scripture that I feel sums up all that I want to say. It says: “After the many testimonies which have veen given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!” (Doctrine and Covenants 76:22). This week we had so many miracles where we met and talked with people who have been prepared to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While I won’t get the chance to teach them all the lessons or to see them progress, I know that God is very aware of the work that we do here. It is his work. He is working to bring us joy and to bring us home. I am grateful that I will be home for Christmas with my family because we celebrate the birth of Him who was born, who lived, who died, and who lived again so we could return home to our Heavenly Parents.

It’s bittersweet to leave, there’s no other time that’s quite like being a full time missionary, but I know that Heavenly Father has many more adventures and opportunities to serve in store for me. The work continues and the future is bright with Faith in Jesus Christ!

Carry On!
